Black Rhino Sports Centre

Our home ground

Education and sport, side by side

The Black Rhino Sports Centre sits on the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater. It is home ground for Black Rhino Academy students, and it hosts national and international professional football matches and tournaments.

We educate the whole child: academically, socially, emotionally and physically. Sport is a big part of that. On these pitches our students build fitness, teamwork and character, and learn how it feels to win, to lose and to play by the rules.

When professional teams come to play here, our students get to see the game at its highest level, on the same pitch they train on.

What you'll find here

Main football pitch

A full-size pitch for school matches and for national and international professional games.

Running track

A track around the main pitch for athletics, PE lessons and Sports Day.

Two junior pitches

Two smaller grass pitches, sized for our younger learners to train and play.

Three courts

Basketball, volleyball and netball courts, so there's more to play than football.

Changing rooms and showers

Modern changing rooms and showers for our students and for every visiting team.

Its own road entrance

A separate entrance from the road means we can run public events safely, kept apart from students on the school site.
