Our Admissions Process

Joining Black Rhino Academy takes six simple steps. Our school year starts at the end of August, and we accept students throughout the year.

  1. Visit Us

    Come see Black Rhino Academy for yourself. Tour our campus, see our classrooms and meet our team.

  2. Apply

    Complete our online application or download our PDF application.

    You can drop the PDF application at Black Rhino Academy, or scan and email it to info@blackrhinoacademy.com.

  3. Pay the Application Fee

    Pay the application fee of 60,000/= (or $30) using one of the options below.

  4. Assessment

    All applicants for Year 1 and up complete an assessment. After we receive your application, our admissions team will contact you within 3 business days to schedule it.

  5. Final Interview

    A final interview with the Head of School or Deputy Head. If another trip to school would be a burden for your family, the interview can take place on the same day as the assessment.

  6. Admissions Decision

    You will receive our decision within 1 week of the final assessment and interview. There are four possible decisions:

    • Accepted
    • Conditional Acceptance
    • Waitlisted
    • Not Offered a Place

Once a place is offered

Registration fee

Due only if the first instalment of school fees isn't paid right after you accept the place. It is credited toward your school fees.

School and boarding fees can be paid annually, or in three instalments before the start of each term.

Best times to join

We accept students throughout the school year, but recommend joining at the start of the year (end of August) or the start of Term 2 in January.
