Fees should be paid by bank deposit by the Friday prior to the first day of each term. Fees received after this time will be classed as a late payment and may incur late fees. A copy of the bank receipt should be submitted to the School Office, emailed to accounts@blackrhinoacademy.com or sent by WhatsApp to +255 768 448 187.

Fees paid by instalment are due as follows: Term 1 (August) 40%, Term 2 (January) 30%, Term 3 (April) 30%. Monthly payment plans need to be agreed in writing and will be 10 equal monthly instalments from August to May each year.

We accept payment for all invoices in USD or TSh. We issue invoices for international students, or those with international sponsors, in USD only.

Late payment of fees will incur an additional charge of 5% on the outstanding amount for that term, which will be added to the student’s account.

(a) Fees that are paid in full for the whole academic year by 15 August will receive a 5% discount.

(b) The first child in a family currently enrolled in the school is charged fees in full. A discount of 5% will be given on the school fees of all subsequent siblings in Pre-primary, Primary or Secondary. This may be combined with the discount above.

If school fees are not received in accordance with the relevant due dates, the school reserves the right to withhold admission or exclude a student from school. A student is likely to be excluded if fees have not been paid in full three weeks after the start of each term. Continued non-payment will ultimately result in the student’s place at Black Rhino being forfeited.

A student who has been excluded due to non-payment will be deemed withdrawn, without notice, 30 days after exclusion. The school also has the right to withhold information such as school reports, examination/test results, transfer letters or character references while fees are unpaid.

An agreement with any third party (such as an employer, grandparent or other guardian) to pay school fees or any other sums due to the school does not release the parent from liability if the third party delays or defaults. It is the parent’s responsibility to ensure all fees are paid by the relevant due date, as set out in the fee schedule.

Costs for school trips are payable in full prior to departure. A student’s place on the trip is likely to be withdrawn if payment has not been made.

School uniform can be paid for in cash, via M-Pesa or by bank deposit. Uniforms must be paid for in full before they can be collected from the school office.

No refunds, reductions or set-offs will be made in the event of a child’s absence or withdrawal from school without notice. To withdraw your child, the school must be given one full term’s notice in writing to the office. This also applies if a child does not return for a new school year. The only exception is students graduating at the end of Year 13.
